*CORRECTION*

After putting in floppy #3 of 6, and upgrading to v1.2.1, it comes up immediately!

LOL. . . Mosaic and Netscape 3 can't seem to resolve it, either.

Loads fine for me, and very quickly too, both in Opera (7.53), Netscape (7.0) and IE6 - and what's more amazing, it looks good even in IE!!!

Whoa. from the Cyberdog FAQ:
Q: I have saved an icon to a web site in my notebook, but the URL is wrong. How do I edit it?
A: There is no clear cut way to "Edit" a URL at present. Follow this workaround:

1. Select icon of URL to edit.
2. Select Get Info menu item from Edit menu.
3. Copy the URL that is displayed in the window and close.
4. Click back in the notebook to activate the Notebook menu.
5. Use the Add Item to Notebook menu item in the Notebook menu.
6. Select the URL panel and paste the URL into the text block.
7. Edit the URL as necessary.
8. Click OK and then choose a place to save the icon.
9. Go to the new item, use the Rename menu item in the Edit menu to give it a new name.
10. Delete the old, incorrect item.
Love that Mac ease of use!

One other interesting bit:
What is the status of Kantara Development's(*) update to Cyberdog, Blake?
A: Blake will be released in beta form when Microsoft (yeah, THAT Microsoft) releases the ActiveX/Internet Explorer Control SDK. Blake, in the words of Steve Roussey of Kantara Development, is

... a software adapter, not an HTML engine. For what? For Active-X and specifically for the Internet Explorer control. I know many of you hate Microsoft, but please read on. Blake makes the IE 3.0.1 engine play _inside_ Cyberdog and act as a replacement for the default HTML part.

Now, although having a Microsoft product of ANY sort is distasteful to lots of folks, this little piece of sleight-of-code will allow Cyberdog to handle some of that fancy new stuff, like style sheets and progressive jpegs, that keeps popping up on the Web.

I'm considering getting a 28.8kbps modem. Which is best: v.34, v.fc, or v.terbo?

I've had enough with America Online. Its Web browser is slow, buggy, and isn't even direct Internet connection.

I hear upgrading to America Online 3.0 will give me a real Internet connection and let me use any Web browser I want, but the 16 megs of RAM in my Performa 6116CD makes it difficult to use America Online and Netscape Navigator at the same time.
