So I've got a job interview tomorrow for a job as a religious studies teacher. At the moment I'm at university, so have never taught a class before, but part of the interview is to teach a class a lesson on "Easter - in the context of looking at Holy Week - the events and meanings." It's a Catholic school, so that's the angle they'll want me to take (and I'm a Catholic so that's not a problem), and it's for Year 7 (i.e. abour age 11).

Two questions:
1. Any general advice/tips on taking a class for the first time?
2. What should I do with them?? I could talk and have a discussion for 40 mins (the length of the lesson I think), but I don't think this is what they'll want for 11 year olds. Any tips from anyone with teaching experience? Should I prepare worksheets? Give them little tests?

I know this isn't the ideal place to ask, but google searches haven't been too productive and teacher-specific forums will be pretty quiet right now as teachers should be in school!
