Sorry if this has been posted before, but:

http://www.everyvideogame.com/index.php

is pretty rad. I was searching for info about an old nintendo game called Totally Rad (to prove a point to a coworker, and this site lets you play the games, in a flash wrapper)

whats your favorite game on there?

I've been playing:

Fascinating, but the emulators are written in Java, not Flash. They're embedded into the Web page as Java applets.

ah, i didnt put much research into the emulators themselves, was too busy playing mike tysons punch out. figured they were flash because my firefox adblock extension picked them up as ads.

it surely made the day go by a little faster

Tecmo Super Bowl is the best game ever! It's running fairly choppy on my 1Ghz powerbook. Anyone with a faster computer to test if it's just the speed, or are all the games like this?

I wouldn't have thought Java was fast enough yet that you could write an emulator for the 8-bit generation of consoles in it. I think this is wonderful news.

I've toyed in the past with the idea of trying to write an emulator in Python, just to see if I could. I may have to consider that again.

Safari keeps crashing on me when I use this site -- anyone else? Is it b/c of poor java support?
