I'm going to Ensenada this weekend with some buddies and was wondering what there is to see and do there. I know it's no Cancun or Cabo, but it's only costing me $100 and that includes transportation there and back, hotel, food (we get one giant buffet every night), and booze (right after the buffet we get all you can drink for 1hr before we go check out the night life). I checked a few sights on the net to see if I could find any hot spots but it doesn't look like there's much to do out there. Can anybody tell me, first hand, what the night life is like out there. I'm not too worried bout girls being there seeing that the bus we're going in has a 1:4 ratio in favor of boys to girls, which would mean that even if half the girls were ugly that still leaves each guy with a 1:2 ratio with a decent-to-hot girl (did I mention free booze on the bus!). So lemme in on this place before I get there if you know of anything that might be interesting.

My experience with nightlife in Ensenada:
My brother and I were returning to the US from Ensenada in his truck one evening. We were stopped by a bunch of cops(?) in civilian clothes and brandishing rifles at an improvised checkpoint out in the middle of nowhere. They were crawling over cars and trucks stopped ahead of us. One rifle dude made his way to our truck, stuck his head in the window and said "You like the mari-wanna? Hmm?"
"Nope, not us sir, never touch the stuff, no siree." Miraculously, we weren't searched for some reason. I'll never go down there again.

Ensenada is a cruise ship stop now. It is not what it used to be, depending on what you want to do.
There are many very good places to eat though, but the nightlife is not what it used to be.
One thing I would suggest you do is take a trip just a little south of the city.
Labufadora Great SCUBA diving if thats your thing.
Have fun, hide you money, lock your car, eat the worm.
