I don't know if anybody has thought of this but to me the problem with the car/ipod deal is that you have to hook up the contraption to your car via a kit. Why not build the ipod with bluetooth as an option? We can buy a VW with XM radio as an option, why not have with built in iPod as an option? Maybe they could mount a touch screen on the steering wheel.

Several Auto Makers are making ways to connect your iPod to your car stereo. BMW has a dock connector cable in the glove compartment. Another auto maker is putting audio in on all their stereos in 2006. Give it some time. I'm surprised though that Apple hasn't begun making custom iPod decks for cars. Partner with someone to make a stereo that has a spot for you to slide in your iPod or iPod mini or something... shouldn't be to hard.
