I have a Nokia 6200 cell which whenever rings the speakers plugged into my Powerbook go crazy with feedback and static.

It also happens seemingly randomly when the phone is in proximity, but not ringing (tho on)- not sure why.

Anyone know how I can avoid this? Device to buy? Setting to set?

Thanks!!

All mobile phones cause this as far as I know. I have a landline speakerphone in my office, and if my mobile is next to it, I get the same kind of feedback. The only way I know to avoid it is to keep the phone away from any speakers.
