Digit Online News is reporting that 'The European Union has revealed it is to ban the sale and use of Apple Macintosh computers by 2006 - citing the need for unification in a directive unveiled today.' Reasons for the ban include that 'Apple's lack of floppy disk drive is discriminatory to EU residents, and that the Apple logo doesn't hail from the apple-growing regions of Southern France.'

That's a "Your dates". "You're" is an abreviation for "you are".

This thread is, in any case, a very typical MacNN lounge thread. It has all the right ingredients: Zimphire making an April Fool's joke on April the second, Ambush flaming him for it while trying to masquerade as someone who won't get banned and Dan flaming Ambush while making a typical intarweb generation spelling error.

If anything EU has taken up the anti monopolist flame, supporting Linux. Windows XP "Non-WMP" anyone? (<-stoopid "punishment" if there ever was one).

EU standardization jokes are sooo 1980...

Which in return is being pointed out by the South African dude living in Switzerland who, very recently, reached the very limit of his ability to deal with (more or less desperate) housewives from Florida.

Post of the month... no, year!

All it needs is to have some Canadians and Americans attacking each other, and it really has summed it all up.

I believe the rhyme goes as follows:

"April Fool's is done and past
And you're the biggest fool at last."

You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

You do realise that one of the basic meanings of Yin (apart from gloomy, negative, passive, shady, sinister) is 'vulva', no?

Hey BTW, totally off toppppic!

That must be the worst case to quoting I've seen to date! I explicitly said "And yang." God, you Europeans, ni fattar aldrig vad det handlar om!

Jo, visst gör vi väl det! Det handlar ju om att få det bästa ut av sin citering, eller hur? Eller skulle man säga det puckadaste

Yes people die here all the time...and?

Did your costly research in defense technology finally spin of something useful like an anti-dying machine?

I thought about that too - actually, I was >98% sure he purposely wrote his post the way he did. But hey - that leaves me with a 2% chance for some "evil" Schadenfreude - and for such odds, I always have and always will be willing to make a complete fool of myself.

Or as the ancient Greeks used to put it: Some days you win, some days you loose.
