So my dad calls me yesterday and leaves me a voicemail telling me I have a package at his house. I called him today to find out what it was. The return address is from Young America, MN. That made me wonder since there is a large rebate center in Young America. I told him to open it up and there is a shiny new silver iPod Mini 6GB with a "Congratulations, you have won..." letter.

So this is totally sweet! I only submitted like 4 caps with my last one being maybe 3 weeks ago. Anyone else won?

I think Xeo is the *real* winner because he didn't have to buy Savage Garden to win

Congrats Jared.

P.S. The mini shield is the best case, at least for my usage. Works with the belt chip and arm band.

Congratulations.
What time of day did u put in your caps?
I'm thinking about saving all of my caps and putting them all in at like 2 or 3AM on a school nite, when everyone is sleeping or shouldn't have a cap to put in.
This contest is USA only right?
I wonder how many caps get redeemed per hour. I want an iPod mini too.

Good job. And now you can bring back all of Tavi's obnoxious posts about his iPod win and change his name to yours.

I just put them in when I got them. It doesn't matter when you do. The contest rules say that once you put them in, you are entered into every drawing from then on to the end of the contest. So the earlier you enter your caps, the better your chances. Trust me, there was no strategy to this. It was just dumb luck.

Dang, didn't know that. I just put in 2 caps from earlier and noticed the Sweepstakes ends 4/11, although you can redeem them until later next month.

Congratulations Xeo. You should post a picture of your new iPod.

Yeah. I got all excited when I saw the name Keith C. but then I noticed the location was Raleigh, North Carolina.

Too bad I'll never get a chance to play, much less win: I can't stand either Pepsi or Mountain Dew, and seldom buy lemon-lime soda, and my school is a Coke campus... ::sigh::

I purposely stopped in at a convenience store a few times to buy the Dew that I won with. My campus is also a Coke campus. If it wasn't, I would have had a hell of a lot more entries in.

SO, I'm wondering, Let's say you had 3 codes. Would you have a better chance entering one every hour or all 3 in one hour..?

I had a similar thought. . . I think the best odds are early morning or late night entry, since fewer people are entering codes at that time. Otherwise, shooting the cap load all at once may be the best strategy. I need my free mini!

As mentioned above (you did read the entire thread?), it doesn't matter when you enter as your entries are good for every drawing. The earlier the better.
