They could offer a subscription service for iTunes like Napster's, but include it free with a .Mac subscription. Or even just for 3 months or so with the purchase or renewal of a .Mac account.

I think you found Apple a winner there.

I would probably buy .mac if I honestly thought it would be useful enough...

IE, it had iApp like web authoring tools, and allowed me to build a site, with .mac that would be as useful as a site I could build with my own host. Also I would need to be able to direct a domain name to my .mac account.
Frankly for cheaper I can get my own domain and website... Yes .mac offers the advantage of it being easier, but the features that are cut out are just to many.

Blah, blah, blah.

Yes, we've all heard from many people in many threads why they choose not to use .Mac. That's not really the topic at hand though.

Thats a great freaking idea. I would def get .mac for that. They make .mac more usable on Windows too, a lot of mac ppl have both and would want to use it on both

They have been making more enhancements so that you can use .Mac content when on a windows machine. Maybe they are thinking along the same lines.

Along the same lines of encouraging .Mac. Not sure that the subscription is a good idea. Apple could credit .Mac users account each month with 5 - 10 songs free.
