Hi,

since no muppet I've spoken to at any of the travel agencies can tell me, I thought i'd ask on here... who knows huh!

I'm travelling to Canada for a 2 week holiday, whilst there, i want to fly over to New York for a few days. I have a very recently issued British Passport and am not a criminal (in the sense that i haven't been caught and convicted yet )

Do I need any visas to get into the USA?

now for the extra marks question.

My wife is Spanish, does she need any visas?

thanks for the help

This state department web site has the information you need.

However, I would still call the US Consulate in London to make sure that the passports you and your wife carry have the required information. You might need a visa if you don't have the right passport The US is in the process of tightening up its immigration controls, and apparently there are some problems. A number of countries whose citizens currently don't require visas have failed to issue biometric and machine readable passports in the timeframe they agreed to do so. It's probably a good idea to call first and check.

Have fun on your trip!

Thanks Simey

Both mine and my wife's passports are very recently issued, mine's not even 3 days old, so it looks like I'll be ok... but will call to find out to make sure.
