Time to get your heads together.
-Sony. Drop Connect. Partner with iTunes.
-Sony. Forget the Walkman. Partner with Apple to make the Sony branded iPod Walkman.
-Apple. Licence OS X to Sony.
-Sony. Drop Windows and Intel from your computers and be the only company apart from Apple with OSX machines.
- Sony. Make an Apple branded HD camera. Pro, prosumer and consumer. Call it the Final
Cut HDCAM range.
-Sony and Apple. Allow amateur and new filmmakers who use your gear to show their work online.
-Apple. Fully support the PSP in iLife.
-Sony. Install iTunes on the PSP with support for iTMS.
-Sony and Apple. Put your heads together and make the best HD creation products out there for consumers at a great price.
-Pixar. Screw Disney. Make films with Sony.
-Apple. After Pixar-Sony films finish their theater run have them available for streaming only to people with Apple and Sony computers running OS X.
-Apple and Sony. Allow people to buy or rent movies on iTMS and allow them to sync movies to the PSP.
-Sony Ericsson and Apple. iPhone - VoIP, use with iChat, GMS, etc.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Hell I'd just be happy with a Sony Ericsson iTunes phone. Their phones rock.

I just wish Sony and Apple colaborated on more projects.
I don't know about Apple licensing OS X. Sounds like the clone days... which really hurt Apple's bottom line.

<open can of worms>
Licensing OSX to Sony may not be as bad as it was to the clones.
1. Apple is in better shape these days.
2. The Mac is not Apple's only profit center these days.
3. Sony is not a low-end manufacturer. They might be able to do it without a price war and actually expand installed base.
But it would be bad because...
Sony's not in great shape right now.
Apple has a strong grip on the hogh-end consumer market, a better partner might be one that can help in the enterprise, where Sony might be actually worse than Apple (no XServe/RAID).
So... anyway.

Paco is bitter about the loss of his .mac webpage. Image will return when his sadness lessens.

That's the thing. Vaio's aren't cheap as other brands. Apple can take a good cut out of that without manufacturing anything and while keeping their own line. Some might ask, why buy a Sony if you can buy an Apple? Well, Sony might put some extra effort in putting better graphics cards, software bundles, and various digital still and video camera packages.

They're not in the best health but having just acquired MGM they have a huge catalogue of films which are currently being reworked into HD.
