Kind of looks like Chris Reeve.

Can't wait for this one!

A great job at turning him into Christopher Reeve, but you know that was Reeve's interpretation of Clark Kent which was totally different from the classical one.

Why the hell are they making another one? How about a sequel to the recent Godzilla? :/

I think it's time for another Superman movie. At least one done right. And Singer (Xmen) is directing, so things are looking up!

I wouldn't mind if it was a reinterpretation of the comic but it looks to be a remake or continuation of the old movies.

Batman Begins has a great cast and a good director with a vision. I think it'll surprise people, especially since the Marvel franchises are scraping barrel, Fantastic 4 looks weak, Punisher 2, Elektra, Ghost Rider, Blade: Trinity.

Singer's did wonders with the X movies, especially the second. And with reports saying he has an unlimited budget, things look good.

The real question is will they transform Superman into yet another black PVC clad dominatrix who grumbles one barely audible line every five minutes? Lines like...

"Who could be doing this?"
"Whoever it is, he's serious."
"I'll be back"

As much as I love Spiderman 2 it was almost a scene to scene ripoff of Superman 2.

IF DONE WELL... I say bring it on.

I'm just tired of all the thin script, all CGI, no plot movies.

Actually, this is a movie where good CGI is called for. Like flying scenes!! And Kevin Spacey as Lex sounds pretty good. (At least Lex isn't an alien like in previous scripts).

First pic of the suit. Looks like body paint and from the 50's. Don't know if I like it yet.

I'm hating it more. The kid has big legs and no ribcage. Why are there two signs on the front? Is he Super-Superman? How can a suit designed in the 70s for Reeve look more modern than this 50s looking thing?

It's beginning to grow on me. I like the darker colors. It has a retro feel to it, like the early Superman comics.

All I can say is, it looks like Superman. Considering how extreme some interpretations of comic book outfits have been, I think that's pretty much the ultimate compliment. There's nothing about this image that makes me think, "Hey, that's not Superman."

That being said, my only two nitpicky complaints are that the S-symbol is a tad too small, and the red is a tad too dark. Hopefully this pick is just washed out and the actual red is a little brighter.

I dunno. I kinda like X-Men and am looking forward to the 3rd movie.

Spiderman 3 might be good.

Though, I think I'll skip Fantastic 4.

Just found this pic over at the DC Comics boards.

The REAL Superman

Pretty much fixes all of my complaints.

Too bad it is a shopped version by a fan. Filmmakers really should survey what people want instead of forcing them to want what... they don't want.
