I thought Dell had retail stores, but now I'm thinking that they were Gateway. I'm so out of the PC loop...

I want to get a 2405FPW, but I'd like to see it first to justify the cost over the 2005FPW. Any ideas?

Just go to an Apple store. First look at the 20". Then look at the 23", and imagine it a little bigger, and much uglier. There you have it.

the Dell LCDs have hideous stands (those silver circle things... blech) but you can get a Dell LCD (20" or 24") and get a nice articulated VESA arm and still end up paying several hundred dollars less than an ACD.

you might want to check out a Dell Direct Store. There's several of them in Florida.

There is no place that I know of where you can see one. Dell only deals direct; there are no Dell stores. CompUSA used to sell Dell, but that was almost 12 years ago, and they pulled out of retail completely in Aug. '94.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

April 27th is my last day with Dell!!!! The pain is over. As for your question on the Dell 2405fpw.... the only screens dell has are, 30 inch lcd, plasma 42 inch, their junk flat panel 15 inch and the 17in ultrasharp.

Their pathetic Dell Direct Stores only have: Dimension Desktops, and Inspirion laptops. plus their crap dell jukebox. And i must admit their decent pocket pcs. oh and not to mention their crappie 30 inch lcd and 42 inch plasma.

p.s. do not go near any of those Kiosks... Those salesmen are all brainwashed from dell and all they are interested in is getting your money. They have ridiculous quotas to meet and in my opinion are sleeker than car salesmen. I am glad to be out of that company.

i'd never buy from a dell rep. I have more sense than that... I just want to see the display before I bother hunting down all the coupons for it online. Some ppl in other forums have gotten it for $899 in the last couple of weeks.
