Might be going to Japan for a week. What's good to visit

	OK, so my wife and I may have a week in Japan soon, and I'm wondering what would be good to visit. We're thinking 2-3 days in Tokyo, maybe a day at a ryokan in the country, ride the bullet train. Need some ideas of what to see and where to go. We'd be going next month if this comes off, for between 7 and 10 days. I know a few people here have been before and thought I'd pick your brains.
