That's a lot of stuff (AKA, pr0n ) for $215/mo.
They also offer this:
I pay more than 3 times that for less than half of that speed.

Yeah, that's what was thinking about when I said the prices are nice.

I'd take your deal too, if the Hong Kong one falls through. I pay four and a half times that for one tenth of the speed...

...But doesn't the Chinese government censor what Internet content is allowed to enter the country? Seems to me that it'd hardly be worth the fast speed if you can't go wherever you want.
Now, give me that speed for that price in the US, and I'm all for it!

Not in Hong Kong. Or at least they didn't when I was there, about 8 months ago now.
The difference between my censored extra-hub-layer-thingy 512 Kbit Internet in Beijing, and that of the non-censored Internet cafs in Hong Kong was so big that I literally jumped halfway out of my chair when I hit Enter and the page just showed up without a second's delay, zap!

I pay ~$700 a month for 6000/768 ADSL, 1500/768 ADSL, and a full T1. I'd jump at 1gpbs for $215 in a nanosecond.

I pay $82 (in addition to my phone charges, which are about $30) for a 512/512 DSL line with a /29 subnet of IPs. Bandwidth is expensive in Alaska.

We pay $60 a month for "3000/512" (about 2500/440), including the mostly unused local-only landline it comes with. If that's not bad enough, when we move I'll have to pay $65 for a 1.5/384 or $75 for a 1.5/768.. oh well at least the darn things are static ip!

$50 for a month of "1.5/512k" that's really 1.0/512k

We have in Spain generally really crappy internet deals going on. a 512 ADSL for 30 - that is pretty much the cheapest I know of. and you can get 1Gbit in Hong Kong. what is the western world coming to??

ISP's are like cell providers: they all SUCK. But $215 per month for fast internet? I don't think so, Tim.
