Has he ever weighed in on the last two installments Lucas shat on us? Maybe that's just his thing.

It's going to piss a number of people off if Lucas does indeed nail this one.

Things to note about this review: - He watched Episodes 1 and 2 back-to-back with his SO just before watching the preview. Just after watching those in succession, even Gigli would probably be almost tolerable by comparison. For Episode 3 to be "f****** awesome" compared to them means only that it doesn't suck. And now I'm getting nasty images of Obi-Wan telling Anakin "It's turkey time".
- He refers to people who disliked Episodes 1 and 2 as "haters", and categorizes any such person who claims to dislike the movie as "lying". In other words, he's claiming a monopoly on taste.
It's hard not to be good, however, when coming right after a movie which could be summarized as follows:
Anakin: Come on, Padme...
Padme: No, we mustn't...
Anakin: Come on, Padme...
Padme: No, you're a Jedi...
Anakin: Come on, Padme...
Padme: No, you're too young...
Anakin: Oh, man; I just went Old Testament on a whole village of Tusken Raiders.
Padme: ...
Padme: Ravish me, you untamed beast!
Jar-Jar: Why meesa in dis movie again?

Uhh, you know he had no involvement in Gigli, don't you? Jersey Girl was his.

It won't piss me off. Of course, that's probably just because you can't get pissed off if you're dead on the floor in shock.
Seriously, I would love an Episode III that rocks. But Lucas has made it pretty clear that his idea of "rocks" is diametrically opposite to mine.

His review of episode II was equally gushing. Take this with a grain of salt.

I didn't know, but that wasn't my point anyway; my point was more that the first two movies, when watched back to back like that, could make almost anything look good by comparison.

I remember early reviews of Episode I saying much the same thing. I'll be waiting and saving my money and watching it in a second run theatre (cheaper than renting the DVD)

Could it be the lack of "http://"?
