I think I saw a typo around digit 576,876. It should be a 5.

Wozniak, Stephen: The Impossible Dream: Computing 'e' to 116,000
places with a personal computer. Byte magazine, June 1981.
Discusses his effort to calculate 116,000 digits of 'e' (the
natural logarithm) on a 48k byte Apple II. Not really relevant to
pi, but interesting for his continued fraction method, and general
technique.

E and Pi are very much related



EDIT: on a related pi note, there is that savant dude who can recite 22,514 digits of pi from memory. Crazy!
