I'm about ready to start my two grad classes in computer science, both distance learning through ntu, but I've run into an extremly anoying road block. It seems that everything works fine... except for the video streams They do their stuff through ecollege.com and do a lot of convoluted javascript to bring up a popup window that loads a windows media file. Everything works fine (of course), on my pc at work, but it doesn't work on my mac Has anyone had any luck with this situation with ecollege? I even reloaded Virtual PC on my laptop to see if that would help, but it's too slow to render the video... I do hear the sound at least.

Obvious question: Is Safari blocking the pop up?

I'll play with the user agent today. I tried it in Firefox and I got the same result. So I'm beginning to wonder (as the video is probably DRM'd) that I have to use Windows because WMP on Windows actually can play DRM'd wmv files. But I'll investigate some more.

Okay, after playing with the debug menu and changing the user agent for safari, I am very very close to getting this to work... except that there seems to be some odd bug in their script that effects safari but not internet explorer. I'm still have stuck, but feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

There were a few things that I had to use a PC for (well, really I used Virtual PC) since it seems that some of the online schools have some software that only runs on PCs.
