Text of the article (emphasis added):
Hackers start looking at Apple

Latest survey

By Nick Farrell: Tuesday 03 May 2005, 06:47
FOR A LONG time ignored by hackers, Apple's iTune popularity is meaning that the operating system is starting to attract the interest of hackers.

According to a survey released on Easter Monday, in the Bulgarian Orthodox calendar, by the SANS institute, hackers are still making hay on VoleWare, but Apple products are starting to become tempting.

Hacks of iTunes were an interesting feature of the first three months of 2005, says SANS, along with attacks on RealNetworks RealPlayer, and Nullsoft's Winamp.

There more attempts to take on anti-virus software with Symantec, F-Secure, TrendMicro and McAfee as targets.

Hackers continued to poke new holes in Microsoft Windows, although SANS seems to think that is becoming harder as more Windows users agreed to receive security upgrades automatically.

So instead, hackers are starting to try and take advantage of other software programs that might not be patched as frequently, the survey said. The complete list can be found here. µ

* INQ warning to Apple users: We didn't write, or contribute to the survey so please do not flame us, or write us long diatribes about how Windows is much more vulnerable than Apple. It's Tuesday and it looks like a long week.

Probably not, but I guess it depends on where you're standing. The similitude stands, IMO.

The Political lounge? I had a quick glance at it, not sure I want to "discuss" political issues with flag-waiving nutjobs who seem to just reiterate Whitehouse press releases.

Oh, your nick truly shows that you are playing in the same league, but maybe on the different side of the field...

Really? You can assume all that from just one name? Amazing! Here's a passing thought; before you come to these astounding conclusions based on one name, it's probably good advice to ask the individual why they have chosen it.

Well, I'm discussing it with you, but I won't ask for justification.

The name is shows (IMO) bad taste, and I'm sure you'd come up with some weird and funky explanation and justification. Thx, I pass on that.

No, you're not discussing a thing, you're assuming then judging. If you don't want to read a reply by the person you are disparaging, then why say anything at all? Says a lot about the mentality being employed here. Anyway, you brought this up, not me. Up until now, I haven't discussed anything political, started any controversial topics, or joined in any. I've pretty much kept myself to the Mac-oriented parts of this site

Let me get this straight. You will pass on an explanation of something you brought up in the first place? I never offered you an explanation, but an approach to formulating opinions. I don't owe you an explanation.
