So who's gona be there? I'll be booking my train ticket soon... I'm planning on camping out in front of the store to be one of the first in line... I figure the first Apple Retail Store in Canada... not gona get this chance that often...

Anyone else planning on being there?

Cause I can and I'm in college... so I can get away with stupid stuff like this...

I'm going to hop a train that I can get a ticket for free for (Dad works for the railway) then I'm staying at the house of someone who lives in Toronto from school. The whole thing is going to cost me very little

Anywho, the store is IN a mall so I think you are going to have to sleep outside.

I'll go if they have some good deals or grab bags or something. Otherwise I won't bother. Yorkdale Mall is just a frickin' mall and the Apple Store is just a frickin' store after all.

I'll eventually go shopping at Yorkdale and check it out...

WHEN IT'S OPENED, IT'S OPENED.

If they give away something free, i may go there to check it out... not sure the opening day.

Like I said, I'll be there at the opening if there are freebies or whatever. If there aren't, I won't. I'll go later when the crowds are smaller. We already have a few good Apple-oriented stores downtown, so why drive out to the 'burbs, especially when I'll already have my new iMac 2.0 GHz by then? It's not as if I find the Yorkdale Mall all that interesting.

It seems I'm not alone in this thread.

As I expected, it's pretty small.

If it were one of those great big flagship stores, I'd be more inclined to go sooner rather than later. They might still get me with freebies though.

I never heard anything about an eaton centre one. The one I thought we were all talking about was Yorkdale.

The second store is due sometime in Q3 apparently and in the Queen/Dundas vicinity, so i assume Eaton Centre as well.

that store is tiny! Nah i'm not going there to check it out

though I might be lured by the freebies.

Ya that sounds like the eaton centre. It would be cool if they had a street level and Mall entrance like some of the stores.

Frick... OK so yorkdale is different than the Eaton Centre... I thought there was one announced for there... oh I'm so confused... so the first Apple store in Canada is going to be a little hole in the wall!? That sucks... what the heck is Apple's problem? grr... oh well I'll still go for the grand opening... they better have something special though... otherwise I'm... gona... do absolutely nothing...
