Ok, because of how these f-----g studios start competing shows a minute late to keep the TiVo from recording the show you want, we missed one episode of 24. I know there are TV torrents out there but I don't know which ones are stable with good quality. Can anyone suggest one where I can get an HD version of 24's episode from 2 weeks ago?

Ah! Yes, I remember seeing this site a year ago, and I lost the link. Thanks.

OK, these files are listed as "HDTV", but that seems to be the source, not the final encoding. They're smaller, and have 2.0 encoding instead of 5.1. Anyone know why?

The reason is whoever encoded it didn't set it as 5.1 etc. That and if the source is 2.0 then I don't even know if it is possible to put it to 5.1. That is a drawback with torrents. You never know what quality they are altho the HDTV ones are usually better for visual quality

OMG! We're famous!

You can find very good HDTV-sourced TV-RIPs at www.the-realword.de. The list the eDonkey links for all episodes of 24 (and many other series) which you can use with mlMac. This works better for older not current episodes than torrents. I prefer torrents only for current stuff.

Good torrent are available at http://torrentreactor.net/, if you are lucky enough to find the site online…

Funny, when I started downloading the current "24" series (I'm in Germany and I WILL NOT WAIT UNTIL 2006) I was happy to find them not as real HDTV resolution files. I think it's convenient to get a DVD-RIP quality 350 MB file (2 per CD) from a TV show. And, most important, my mini can play them flawlessly...

It looks like they came down pretty heavy on them, and the site won't be back...

Have you been touched by his noodly appendage?
