Anybody got $400 in quarters?

You think people won't break into that machine? They do it for candy bars...

You'll be ticked when the iPod gets stuck!

These machines take dollar coins, so you'll only need 100

Why would you do that? If it came pre-loaded with music than I could see buying one at the airport, but otherwise why would you want one? What use is an empty iPod to a traveller? I can see some rich guy buying one just to see what the fuss is about and listen to some music and then getting pissed because it doesn't do anything.

A lot of people don't really get what the iPod is. MY dad told me he was thinking of buying one for the gym and I had to explain to him that A.) his computer was too old to support one, B.) You only own about 20 CDs, and C.) you can't listen to the radio.

He didn't even know what they where, he just saw everyone with them at the gym and figured they must be pretty great.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Uhm, duh, right.

So instead of 1,600 quarters you'll need "only" 400 $1 coins. Better ?

I know lots of people who have music on their laptops, but no iPod.

And plus, lots of people in the airport will be getting home very soon...

they dont drop. it's a belt driven elevator platform thingy that brings it down. still though .. i'd

a) buy from an apple store and deal with actual people.
b) buy from apple.com

both gets me a student discount... or

c) get it on amazon when a newer ipod comes out, and get it at a lowered rate, and with a promo 50 dollar gift certificate. =D

Imagine how pissed you'd be to see your iPod move all the way out to the very end of one of those little twisting vending machine coils, but get stuck and refuse to drop off at the last moment. No amount of pounding on the machine will dislodge it, and you're tapped for bucks. You slink away frustrated, knowing that some lucky prick bastard will happen along and get two iPods for the price of one.
