Hello all --- I've got 18 hours to make a decision on whether to pull the trigger on a short-term lease in D.C.

The house is located about 6 blocks due West of RFK, right on 14th and Capitol St.

Can anyone help me out? Is this a good neighborhood? Especially for a single woman?

How about transportation to the White House? Don't worry --- not a Lewinsky!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

You mean 14th and East Capitol Street? No, it is not a good neighborhood. It is quite transitional -- and that is being fairly optimistic. If you are going to move to Capitol Hill, I'd make it closer to Eastern Market. Preferably, on the other side of Eastern Market.
