Idiots. If they did this then I wouldn't buy CDs; why bother when you've already paid them for the music you're 'inevitably' going to download illegally?

Of course they do. Presuming people guilty until proven innocent nets you much more convictions, and so what if a bunch of innocent people get screwed over?

Come to think of it, I wonder if anyone has tried to fight this sort of thing as a human-rights violation, precisely because it presumes guilt?

Not only that. EVERY government has never met a tax they didn't like. If they can make an excuse to tax it they will. Some how this didn't suprise me.

We have tax for MP3-players. Luckily you don't have to pay them if you order iPod from Apple Store online, but on the other hand that sucks becouse nobody buys from local resellers.
