It has been confirmed that Microsoft is running its Xbox 360 demos for the E3 Expo on Power Mac G5s from Apple Computer.

The nifty clips of video games supporting Microsoft's new Xbox 360 console are running on Apple machines, Microsoft confirmed on Friday.

"We purchased a number of Apple G5's because very specific hardware components of the G5 allow developers to emulate some of the technology behind future Xbox products and services," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement. "This is an interim development tool that will be replaced with a more powerful and comprehensive solution later."

Atleast you got more than I got when I posted the same thread.

http://forums.macnn.com/89/macnn-lounge/257146/e3-expo-xbox-360-display-powered/

I got no reference or reason for locking my thread.

And locking it was stupid since the thread that they referenced, did not make any mention of "E3 Expo xBox 360 Display powered by G5's" in it's title.

As if I'm going to read every single stupid thread to find out if a very interesting piece of information is buried on page blah blah blah of another post.

On a few occasions, the mods here don't think very clearly.
