First, feel free to move this if it is deemed incorrect for the lounge.

Alright.......so I am looking for recommendations for a 7"-ish 16:9 lcd monitor. I have a gallery show coming up in Philly and need small monitors for a wall mount installation. I am planning on taking them out of there manufacture casings and putting them into brushed aluminum. Originally I wanted to cannibalize lcd’s from psp’s but I think they may be a bit small for what I want to do.

I am shooting for an installation similar to this:

So if you can recommend an lcd or even a raw lcd with s-vid or any connectors that would be great.

Thanks,

-j

I can't recommend a brand, but if you do a search on google for 7 inch LCD, you'll get tons of options.

Sport compact car crowd/forums may be of help and would be the best source for such devices.

Whole bunch of places on the intraweb that sell things like this type of stuff...

such as...
http://mp3playerstore.com/

or maybe even those computer surplus type places....they seem to have all sorts of stuff like that...

I just bought a Lilliput 7" TV a couple weeks ago. Sharp picture. The small speaker faces to the rear. I set up a forward facing baffle (cleverly disguised as a large format kid's book, standing up facing forward...) and now the sound is suitable. You can buy even cheaper without the TV function --- DVD only.

I'm thinking of putting an old laptop into my car - My current thinking for the display would be this:
