Actually, the NYC subway is not the best place to have anything but your headphones showing, let alone resting on your lap, and even headphones can get you in trouble if they're white and it's late at night, which I'll confirm. If I had it, it would stay in my bag. It'd be cooler for car trips.
But I have a 3G, so I'll never know.
