Now that summer is here, I'm ready to do another one. The last contest was outdoor/nature. The next subject is architecture.

This is how it will work:

1. You can submit 5 photos. They can be black & white or color.

2. You have until August 31st to submit your photo. You have all summer. Voting starts Sept. 12th.

3. To submit your photos and view them, go to http://photocontest.the-depths-of-hell.com/ and create an account.

If you have any questions or comments, please post them in this thread.

Nifty. While I didn't participate in the other one, I enjoyed most of them.

Which one did you get?

I want a new camera, but I'm debating whether to get a digi.camcorder or a regular digi.cam. Decisions, decisions...

Is anyone going to chip in for a prize? There should be something for the winner. Of course, I'll enter even without a prize, but it would make it fun - it doesn't have to be something of significant monetary value.

I'll definetly be shooting all summer and hopefully I can get something that I would be confident enough to submit to the contest.

I'll be shooting with my Christmas gift this year, a Canon G3. Wish I had the funds for a dslr, but other things are more important when I'm in college.

The G3 is more than sufficient. Count this robot in, if I can get some decent shots in before and/or after I send in my D70 for servicing.

It would be great if we could add comments to individual pictures, but that might be more work for the host. Oh well, I found my picture (since my camera has been acting up) I will use one of my favorites.

It involves an older man helping his granddaughter clim a structure.

I was far from winning in the last one, but I'll give it another shot. If only my sister didn't lose my camera, oh well time for a new one I guess.

I wish I had a picture of this building in Haifa, its shaped like a rocket with all reflective windows, its hard to describe but it is really a nice looking building.

I hate you. It's official. I'd give my right arm for a 350D. Well, maybe not being that I'm right handed and all and it'd make it a bugger to take pictures but you know what I mean.

It'd be nice if you could use it to vote for the images as well. I reckon it's not too difficult a task to implement this.

you can only do a community judge if everyone has 1 vote... but there multiple pictures.... so its gonna be hard... and not very accurate, is photoshopping allowed?

Scotttheking has been very generous by donating some web space with Gallery for the contest. I've been playing around with it and it looks like I will post the link very soon. We may modify the rules and allow multiple submissions instead of just one photo. Thanks for everyone's patience.

Register, submit your photo, and let's get this started.

Up to 5 photos per person allowed.

Submit at a decent resolution. If it's larger than 3MP, it'll automatically be resized down.

Ads? I've heard the occassional click makes Scott happy.

Questions? Here's where to ask.

What a coincidence, I just sent off my submission via mail. When will it appear on the gallery?

Oh, and will someone redesign that ugly looking gallery?
