Hi

I posted a similar topic in the DV forum but didnt get a response.I thought i would try my luck here.


I plan on getting the jvc one in the coming months unless there is something on the horizon from another compay.

the 3ccd one looks pretty sweet.

So does anyone have or got anything positive or negative to say about it i would love to hear your feedback.

$2,800 for 1/4" ccds seems pretty steep to me... But I realize that is AUD and MSRP.. so perhaps 2,300? ($1,700 USD)

If the picture is nice and you want the small size, i see nothing wrong with solid state memory.

I just couldn't shoot with something that small.. I have a Sony PD-170.

So it comes with a 4gb microdrive, probably the same one in the ipod mini, I wonder if you could swap in a 6gb drive since 4 is a bit small for high quality video.

i thought the same thing. I realise it has a small form factor but i thought it would be great for carrying in your bag to shoot footage or be able to take pictures without carrying both a camera and a camcorder
