A fine event. Thumbs up!

Just a note: The greatness of America can be measured by the fact that a woman, disgraced by the revelation of filthy, lewd, nude lesbian photos in Penthouse magazine which led to her becoming the first and only Miss America ever de-crowned, has now become an honored (if not beloved) performer at the nation's Memorial Day Concert at the Capitol.

Vanessa Williams deserves all the good things that come to her.

NBA star Rick Fox hit it but had to quit it.

Is this a great country or what?!

I think you are sensationalizing her roll in the events. She was a subchapter to the day... not the main attraction. Also, there have been many "fallen stars" that have come back... how many times are we going to give Whitney Houston and the likes a 2nd chance?

I'm not defending having her at the events, but at the same time, we need to put it in context.
