Today I auditioned for a job (supervising power sellers) at eBay.

I am 23 years old, bald head, grown-green-gray eyes, my weight is approx. 64 kg and I am 1.81 m tall. I like driving bike.

Will I get the job? They will let me know within 24 hrs.

Do they hire people based on their physical appearance now a days?

I mean, if they're hot, of course, but otherwise?

is that what you said when they asked you to tell them about yourself...if so, you will not get the job.

Riding a car and driving one are two different things.

I hope you get the job if you want it.

I think it's weird that they "audition" people for the job, though.

I had one of those people get in touch with me (I am a PowerSeller on eBay because I list so much from one of our 53 offices) and she knew much less than I did about...everything. It was hokey.

But, good luck!

I thought eBay is located in Switzerland for tax reasons.

If your only qualification is your physical appearance and riding bike I would say no, you don't get the job. What are "grown eyes" anyway? Sounds creepy.

Becuase in one instance you are a passenger without control and the other in control?

So what is 'riding a bike' compared to 'driving a bike'?

Does it really matter? We both know what he meant.

I just checked and you are right...but a few weeks ago a friend of mine came here from Munich because he had a meeting @ ebay to discuss a work relationship - seems like they are in Hamburg too (somewhere)...

There seem to be a lot of negative people on this site.

Why do you think he/she won't get the job?

A better question is why is someone coming on here asking if they will or will not get the job. How the hell should we know? Did you "audition" well? What does what you look like have to do with anything?

ROFLMAO!

I say give him the job. Then PM me. I want your personal number so that I can call you when I have a gripe against an eBay member.

Your're right and I am ashamed of myself that I made three mistakes at the least in one rather short posting. It means brown, it means riding bike, it means "I had a job interview". Of course. It was three o'clock in the morning. I couldn't sleep because it was too hot in my room and I was thinking weather I get the job or not. I thought it might be a good idea to post some senseless thread on macnn, to see who will jump on the train talking some cultivated nonesense. OF COURSE, that was not what I said or what they wanted to know... I didn't think anyone would even think that someone says crap like that. Well, I was wrong. I'm glad I don't share the (not) humor of some guys here...

I don't know yet. They said, I would hear from them the next day, possibly the day after that. I just wished they'd answer me fast. I'll have to wait until tomorrow...

So does the job require you to meet clients or customers face-to-face? If no.. the look doesn't really matter, right?
