My uncle has a business that has 3 toll free numbers, and 2 local lines. His current service is with Cierracom, which appears to be a subsidiary of NOS communications, which appears to be under investigation by the FCC for shady dealings.
Anyway, my uncle feels that his bill is way too high, and would like me to look into alternatives. At first, I looked into VoIP, but Vonage is unable to transfer toll free numbers at this time, and he's not willing to give his numbers up.
So, I'm shopping around for a new carrier for him. Does anyone have a recommendation?
I'm not sure what he is paying per minute now. His bills aren't in minutes, but in TCU's (total call units), which seem to defy any sort of logic.
