I think I may go with these dudes to repair my frames. I called them and they seemed nice and professional. NO big promises or tried to take my credit card info or anything weird. Anybody have any advice? I don't see a scam where they would steal my broken glasses. Anyway I can check if they are reputable?

My repair is basically a small hinge correction and screw alignment. IMO it needs professional care/expertise but it is not mind-boggling destroyed. Also, I already replaced them with a new pair so I don't want to pay a lot of money for a jeweler to fix it (i'm sure I can find one here in NYC).

I asked them specifically about my pair being "brand name" and that it uses super small screws and etc. They didn't make any promises, they just said they could help and after I send it to them they will evaluate my situation.

Why don't you take them to the place you bought them? They don't fix them there?

I bought them at a Pearl Vision, a McDonalds type doctor/eyewear solution. They don't get into precision welding/repair like these guys claim they do. What PV wants is me to buy another pair (which I did already... bastards!)

the reason why i still want my old ones is because:

1. they still look good
2. they were expensive Armani frames
3. it will serve as a backup
