My friend sent me this link, and managed to waste 20 minutes of beer drinking talking about this:

http://globalresearch.ca/articles/MAN309A.html

The truth is out there? Opinions and I'll send him the link to get the MacNN spin.

I think the case is closed man, we know who done it, and how it was done. Not much need for the evidence after that.

I hate to break it to this guy, jet fuel, when ignited, has a strong tendency to incinerate just about everything. We can study this and go "Oh yes, had we spent an extra eleventy billion dollars on this structure, we could have theoretically made it in a way that it could've possibly withstood that much heat." Looking at the steel isn't going to do us much good.

Is that story dated 2002 or 2003? If so, that would make it old news.

I believe all of that steel is long gone.

So . . . what's the fuss all about?

Although the content has been published on a Canadian site, in 2003, it is quoting an article in Fire Engineering Magazine, which is published in Tulsa, from 2002. How this makes it anti US is beyond my understanding. Make sure to always wear your tin foil hat.

The guy, sad to say, seems to have ignored the investigation that has already taken place, and I question his definition of "alarmingly short time", which he uses to describe the hours which the buildings stood. Almost everyone who was below the points of impact made it out safely; what more, frankly, could have been asked for? The towers performed amazingly well, given the impacts, and the improvements in architecture and building design made since their construction are already well-known. There is little if anything more which could be gleaned from pieces of the building, particularly when one takes into account the problem of identifying which pieces went where (a critical thing to know, if you want to study the points of impact).

Did everyone just bypass the first line?

"My friend sent me this link."

"We managed to waste 20 minutes of beer drinking talking about this."

First of all, if he sent you the link, how did you spend 20 minutes of beer drinking?
What is 20 minutes of beer drinking? I mean, volume per minute? This would differ greatly but if you could consume the average MacNN user amounts, then that would mean quite a lot, and if this is the case, that would explain why you posted this on MacNN. You must have been drunk. You and your "Friend".

Budster,

He sent me the link after we were at the bar. Maybe he can come here and debate since I'm not very interested anyways.

My friend is American, but has spent time in Germany recently, and he speaks German well. So maybe conspiracies are all the rage (besides disco-teques) over there, and now it's come over to my country-American, social beer-drinking time, axx.

Stick to the beer and talking about chicks.
