From the .Mac Homepage

.Mac will be undergoing scheduled maintenance from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST on Monday, June 6th. During this time iDisk will be intermittently unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I don't remember .Mac maintenance occurring during other keynotes. Perhaps .Mac will be more useful tomorrow.

Maybe they are switching it to .Intel

Makes sense if the site is going to have a high volume of traffic. The keynote alone will eat some bandwidth though I'd love for some new stuff.

Ah, sorry, internet misunderstanding. I don't see it... my joke was more about that the only thing Apple changed was to take something off and not add anything.

Sorry 'bout that.

I still pay for .Mac for a few reasons.

1. Backup- When I re-install my system from scratch like I do sometimes when new OS comes out I don't have to figure out where to move mail settings and keychain settings and preferences and things like that. I just hit the restore button and everything goes back into place.

2. Now with Tiger ALL my bookmarks are synced across all my Macs. If I delete or add something it updates it on my other machine as well. No need to figure out which bookmarks are where

3. My addressbook also stays synced across all my Macs as well No need to figure out if a contact is in my adressbook or not.

4. Some of the exclusive content is pretty good.

Sadly, still no Tiger-compatible Virex - not that I miss it, with clamXav (and not that it's really necessary, for that matter), but anyway...

I only wish they would get the kinks worked out for syncing keychains. I am still unable to successfuly get my keychain synced across my desktop and laptop...
