It is hovering right now at even for the day, I am of the mind that it will go up a bit then drop dramatically over the next few months.....mac sales are going drop so badly

the public will remember one thing from the news, "the transition will be done by 2007"

ahh then it will be time for my next Mac

till then, lets hope the iPod does some wonderous things to pick up the Mac sales drop

thoughts?

It all depends on what happens with iPod. If iPod stumbles, then Apple will tank. If not, they will be ok until the Intel machines hit.

This is what will happen. Short term, it will go up, just like it did when the WSJ first reported the rumors two and a half weeks ago. It will drop quickly when Apple has their first quarterly results that show hardware sales in the toilet. It will drop further when Apple releases their second quarterly results that show hardware sales in the toilet. Then, after the first Intel Macs start to come out, the stock price will gradually rise again, and may even exceed current levels... especially if their marketshare starts to rise more.

Apple HAS to support their currently installed base, and has asked developers to do so, for this to work.
