Could it be that it doesn't show if it's the standard name that you get with a fresh install ?

mine is an imac and a powerbook.

zimphire: not sure why some one display. my powerbook only has 1 drive in it and it shows up.

Nope, mine has the standard Macintosh HD name and it shows up (pic is above somewhere), and I only have one drive and one partition on it.

Tiger is on my TiBook 667 MHz. I like to vet it out on one computer before all the Macs in the house get it. So far it's awesome, and I expect this DP 1 GHz PowerMac will scream (or sing) with Tiger. But for now:
