Every once and a while I'll get "foo already exists and doesn't belong to a registered port. Unable to activate port bar"

What exactly doesn't that mean?

In light of all the Apple news from yesterday, I wouldn't worry about it

Why? Wait two years for a solution to his problem? Big help that is. Besides, things will still need porting to Mac OSX regardless of which chip it runs on.
