Since everybody starts a new blog, uhm..., thread for about his opinion, I expect such a sticky in the Lounge soon.

Ah well, in a couple of days, everything will be almost back to normal. I hope...

Obviously there's going to a thread or two on it. But I would like to see some moderation in the next day or so, closing duplicate threads, trying to keep the discourse as civil as possible (which I must admit, I've baited some of the PPC fanboys here and there).
And not creating a damn thread everytime someone has a question on it or want to pass along opinion pieces and blogs from people no one has ever heard of before.

Also, what about creating an Intel/PPC forum for stuff on that particular issue can be discussed/argued without it bleeding into every other forum as it currently is?

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

IIRC, the request for a special forum was denied, for now. And the thread LOCKED !
Maybe because it was in the Lounge, and not in the suggestion forum...

I don't see what the big deal is. Apple dropped a bombshell on Monday. Whether it was a hand grenade or a nuke; no one is quite sure yet. People want to talk about it.

This is a Macintosh Forum and threads don't cost anything. In two weeks time people will have it all out of their systems, business will be back to normal and we can all talk about how emaciated Lindsey Lohan is again.

it'll die down ... just like the whole tiger buzz died down.

edit: oh .. and it'll come back up if intel ever pulls a motorola/ibm on us.

I was wondering when the poll was going to pop up. It usually follows a day or two after a big comotion.
