Need some good headphones for listening to CDs DVDs, MP3s, etc through an onkyo receiver attached to my computer. Something mid range that doesnt sound mid range. I'm not looking for Grado RS-1's in other words. Keep it reasonable, thanks! (and grado are horribly uncomfortable, dont bother )

i like earbuds. in ear earbud. sony mdr-ex 51 or ex71 or ex81's. all three same bud, the 51 has rigid plastic earstems, the 71''s have silicon earstems, the 81's have soft rubbery over the ear "hooks" so they are earbuds that grip your ear.

I have owned some Sony MDR-V700DJ's and I LOVED them, the bass was amazing, the only downside is they are a retarted design and they will break on you...
I now own a pair of Sennheiser HD-280 PROs and those are awesome too, comfortable and not as expensive (you can find em for $80) There is a thread around here somewhere that has a LOT of people recommending them, as would I... the only bad thing about em, is they look kinda funny on you... makes you understand why you always see the V700s on the TV...
get the HD-280's you will not be disappointed, they fold up too.
Here is a link to another thread asking the same question at the time I had not gotten my hd-280s

Grado's SR 60 are pretty good for the price.
I have a pair of '60 and a pair of 225. The difference in price is important but the 225s are far more detailed.
But I do not regret the 60, as they provide a pretty nice output.
Cheers!
