How many of you have been or know some one who has been in a accident while drinking and driving?
Because some prob wouldn't want to admit they have themselves all answers are in Yes which refers to either themselves or some one they know.

I'll be the first to admit that I was a very stupid teenager. Somehow I was good at driving drunk, and everyone always asked me to drive. Very luckily, no one ever got killed. We even got followed by the cops quite often. My dad and my best friend's mom made it clear to us that we could call them if we needed a ride when we were drunk. We'd get in trouble, but nowhere near as bad compared to if they caught us being DDD's. I knew quite a few people that got into drunk driving accidents and finally grew up and realized that $10 for a taxi is the only responsible thing to do. Hell, you spend more than that on a single drink at some bars. If you can't afford to budget an extra $10 to go out, less if you split the fare with friends, or get a DD then you should stay home and drink or wonder if you should even be drinking at all.
Nobody wants to admit it, but drinking and driving is everywhere. In large cities, drunk drivers are all over the roads w/out any fear of being caught as long as they stay off the highways. Rural areas have so few officers compared to miles of road that drunks usually won't get caught. We have a safe ride program here at school, but it only covers the ride home and nobody seems to want to leave their cars in town. People are lazy and think they are invulnerable, unfortunately that leads to large numbers of intoxicated people on the roads at night around last call. Too many people think it won't happen to me, until it does.

Know someone who was in an accident that killed 4 people (young kids). Apparantly everyone involved had been drinking.
Stupid. What's the point exactly?

I drove my friends to Wendy's once while stoned. It was a very, very bad idea. Nothing bad happened, but I could feel that I was so slow that I would certainly not have been able to react quickly enough to avoid an accident if need be.

been trying to convince my best friend all it takes is a few drinks for some one to be a risk, even if they can walk and talk fine, they might not cause a accident but they sure the hell wont be able to respond fast enough if some one else is about to cause a accident. 3 of my friends have been in crashes drunk, all minor injuries. My dad was killed drinking and driving, one of my good friends killed his best friend when he crashed. Teens and young adults are so stupid they don’t realize how painful it can be as a friend to see them die or get hurt.
