Just had a small tremor in Los Angeles. I could definitely tell the difference between the P and S waves; the duration was about ten seconds. Primary estimated magnitude of 5.3.

Yeah, sorry about that part of the description. It was noticeable but minor for me, so my early, subjective characterization of it was "small."

In the L.A. area it was noticeable enough but well below the "I want my mommy" magnitude.

It was rockin' at UCSD, but apparently nothing just less than ten miles inland.

The BIG one is coming. Bring it on.®

I didn't feel a thing. But of course I'm in Texas...

I did hear that there were tsunami alerts in the Pacific Northwest because of it. What kind of stuff is that? A 5.something in SoCal causing a tsunami?

On the Washington coast they set off the evacuation alarms for yesterday's Earthquake. Sadly no one followed them. Here are a few phone calls to 911 which were on the news:

"How high is high enough ground?"

"Can I take my sofa when I evacuate?"

Yes I felt it, too.. my cat did not enjoy it. I also felt one last weekend on Sunday morning at around.. 7 or 8 am I think. Plus there was that very large one off the Northern California coast a couple days ago. Things are getting mighty shifty 'round here.

That earthquake was last night off the shore of northern California. Todays earthquake was completely separate.

There was another one off the coast tonight...6.4, not to mention the 5.3 today.

The big one is still coming according to the tin foil contingent. They're putting it around the full moon.
