Does anybody here know the thrills of a drifter's life? Does anybody want to experience what it's like to be a drifter? I think I do.

I've got a friend who's a bit of a drifter. Incredibly talented guy, worked for MTV, used to run several recording studios and clubs, renovated a barn in the South of France etc etc.

He just can't settle down. Every time I see him he's up to something else, has quit his last job, has new plans. He goes from feast to famine and back again. His dad is exactly the same, he spent his life skippering yachts all over the seven seas. At least the old man has now, sort of settled down, broadcasting a jazz program for a radio station in Toulouse.

Does he enjoy the thrills of living on the edge?

I suspect so. He's the kind of guy who you want to be with should things ever go really wrong. He's incredibly resourceful.

Ok, I confess. I was trying to have two conversations going at the same time like an episode from I love Lucy or something. Ambiguous-ness doesn't work that well here I guess.

You and d4nth3m4n figured it out.

NASCAR is ok, but it's for rednecks. Drifting is for eveybody else!

It looks realllllly fun!
