i've been trying to find out who performed the song in this 'know HIV' ad, but i'm having a hell of a time. can anyone here identify who it is?

were you too lazy to watch the video i linked, too? the song in it isn't even close to hip hop.
that press release is for the 2004 campaign and all common did was spoken word. the 2005 campaign is totally different.

wtf. i went back to watch the ad and hear the song and they've changed it! there's a new background song and it sucks ass. now i'll never be able to learn who made that song. F U C K

nah, that's the new shitty music. i'm seriouly pissed. the music doesn't match the vibe of the commercial at all now. it was perfect before. this guy common is a 2 bit hack.

there were no lyrics, which is one reason it was so much better, and another reason why it's such a hard song to identify.

It sounded a bit like a Lali Puna remix, or Ambrosia, or an Air remix, starting with reverse-string samples and a picked acoustic guitar coming in a little later.

That's a pretty darn hateful thing to say. Want to consider how many people got infected through something other than sex you may not approve of or through sharing a needle? It's BIG. For example, in the sections of Africa where AIDS is becoming endemic, the vastly most common mode of infection is through hetero sex. Wise up and stop sounding like an AIDS bigot.
