I have four, at the moment: A USB flash drive, TV-B-Gone (for socially acceptable use), an LED, and a little metal hook.

How about you?

Note: I've already mentioned the items on my keychain in a recent post, but this thread has a different purpose. I apologize for being repetitive.

I currently have nothing. I sold my car, so no car keys, and I'm living with my parents for a month between college and my job in japan. I seriously don't know what to do with the free pocket I've ended up with!

I'm with Railroader; the only non-key I carry is the button to remotely unlock my car. Otherwise, "who needs all that crap." Although Albert's "Investigational Drug" keychain thing sounds like fun!

Haha, I made it myself. I got bored one day so I took all the stickers off my "meds" and made into a keychain.

A little Imperial pocket knife which has opened countless CDW and Insight boxes in its day.

I also have an electric door lock on my house with a remote, but since that's how I get into my house, I'll consider it a key. The remote to my car is built into the key.

Kryptonite has pulled all such locks from the market, since replacing them with "normal" key versions.

same thing works for Kensington locks, except you need to fashion a small cardboard tube out of a toilet-paper roll instead of the pen.

With practice, five-ten seconds, tops.

Millenium, do you find that the Leatherman "bites" your hand when you use the pliers? I changed to Gerber because of that-and found out that Gerber just bites a different place! When I need it, the Gerber rides in a pouch on my belt, and the same for my Mini Maglight-when you wear BDUs you kind of develop the "Bat Belt" mentality because even though they're baggy, stuff in your pockets is visible and unsightly.

Now that I don't wear a uniform any more, I find no problem with just keys in my pocket. It's been liberating...But now I'm getting a groove in my shoulder from my backpack with all the books and notebooks I need in class. "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch." I guess it's true.

What do you use that TV-B-Gone for? Just curious, because to me it seems as if it has no actual uses besides messing with other peoples televisions?

And on topic: I only have my keys.

The Micra has scissors instead of pliers, so I'm not really sure I'm the best person to ask about that.

I want one of those so badly, but I'm not sure about a few things. I'd want it to replace my Photon LED...how bright is the light? Can it be used as a flashlight in the dark, to light up a small area? Does its thickness bother you? Is the pen sturdy, and does it write well? Does the device scratch easily?

Of course, there's also the money problem. $120 is a lot for a 512MB .

Well, you just remember that you have it, and either stick the whole thing in your luggage, or snap the USB part off. And if you don't need luggage, you can probably live for a few hours without the non-USB part .

I use the light when I come home late at night, to avoid turning the lights on and waking everybody up. Works fine if you need to find something in the dark, don't expect sunlight to come out of it though.
The pen works -very- well. No complaints there. Actually it has been quite useful.
The device does not scratch that easy, mine is though, had some sand in my pocket, that did the job. Anyway the pendrive part is well protected so nothing happened there.
And no, at first I was concerned about the thickness, but it' not that bad at all.

My point was that a business traveler coming back home soon (and hence no luggage) wouldn't need the use of the knife/pen/blade/scissors/light, and the USB part is detachable.

That really sounds awesome! I only wish it was under $100 (I wouldn't want to spend $75 on a measely 256MB).

A Leatherman Micra. I have a 5-Ring valet keychain--similar to this one, and on weekends, I remove all but my house and car keys.
