ScreenShuffle 2Gb and 4Gb? iBook? Motorola iTunes phone?

Apparently iTunes 4.9 is full of phone iTunes phone references, so I'll go with that.

The phone announcement will be the focus of the 7th event. New Shuffles *shouldn't* be released since they just dropped the price of the 1GB. Typically, this price drop would only occur as a new replacement was introduced -- not days before.

However, I'm still going to wait until after the 7th before ordering my 1GB Shuffles, just in case...

I agree. I would sais that the Shuffles are going to stick around for 2-3 more months and then we will see something new.

I want that phone so f***ing bad, it hurts (watch, it'll prolly suck). I am at the end of my contract and tired of my t616.

I was rather disappointed when i woke up this-morning only to find the 30 gig ipod gone.

What is July 7th? MacWorld Boston? I don't think anything has been announced there in forever... I don't see why it'd be a big deal...

Apple won't ever announce anything at MacWorld boston, since Apple does not participate in that event.

I don't really use Garageband much, but that little box does look nice.

That is kind of unlikely, considering that Emagic had a hardware department.

iPod update was a disappointment. I'm getting 300 CD's in about a month, and a warranty that will be used, so I was hoping that they'd bump the capacity. I was really hoping for the ability to see advanced tag info and stuff like that. What a letdown.

I hope the phone doesn't suck. And I hope it's cheap.

Odd, I seem to recall them having been announced as shipping this August/September.

Find me those drives, please.

While I am almost sure the iTunes phone is coming, there is a possibility of a video iPod. With Apple taking away the iPod photo line, that leaves an opening on the high end side for an iPod video. We all know it's coming eventually, and with the iPod photo becoming the regular iPod, it seems to be the perfect time for Apple to release the iPod video.

Also, in the past, everytime Steve Jobs has been asked about the iPod video, he always does his little speech about "oh the screens to small, no legal content, etc." However, in the ABC shuffle podcast interview, Jobs just says we can't talk about future products.

Yeah I wanted to buy a 80GB iPod + new Alpine radio for my car but I guess i'll hold. 60GB isn't enough, 80GB would be good for a few months.

Oh and the iTunes phone in the pic is fugly.

The phone is definetely coming thursday. Appleinsider showed a bug in iTunes:
1. Check out the podcast preference in the iTunes menu. (then close the menu)
2. Change your display to 256 colors.
3. Re-open the iTunes preferences and give the icon another look.

I think that pretty much settles it. Even though I still think an 80 GB iPod video will be released sometime in the very near future, I don't think it's coming July 7th.
