No way. I'd shave my head and tatoo something on the back for $1,000,000.00, but that is my price. I'd not like to wake up everymorning and have to see that on my forehead.

It would have to be non-porn, and not some company that I can't stand. There would be rules.

The funny thing is, she could have asked for more and likely got it. Like $50k. Golden Casino has been known to recklessly overbid on strange stuff like toast, just to get their name in the papers.

I remember a guy on TV who had the phone number for the local fish and chip shop tattoed onto his forehead after an argument with his wife. She said something like 'you'll have the chip shop's phone number tattooed on your head first' in an 'over my dead body' kind of way. So he went out and did it.

Look after my manor, or I will bum you, literally, to death.

I hope it was a temporary tatoo, what if they change their phone number? What a maroon.

I was referring to the "Fish and Chips" bloke. But, you are right, anyone can bid on that Domain and possibly win, but not likely... and then turn it into a porn site...

I want to see a picture of her now with the tattoo.

I'm surprised that this sort of thing isn't prohibited by eBay, to be honest.

It would be easier if she did a 'I'll strip and send you photos' auction. A lot of people would go for that.

Also, I'd get an Apple tattoo on my arm if someone paid for it.

I'd get a tatoo of the apple logo on the back of my head for $1,000,000.00 (After taxes)

Steve you there? Come on man... I'd just walk around malls etc. advetising for you.

hell, an "I'll strip and send you the pics" auction could actually be a dutch auction with 100 or so "items" available, as you can always get reprints.

I'd probably get the Apple tattoo on a bet, if I thought the person betting me would actually pay up.

Yeah, that is soooo sad. Someone actually making money to live and survive creatively.
That is just sooo sad. Did I lay the sarcasm on thick enough? Who cares? I think she's thinking outside the box.

Way outside the box, but hey, it beats eating out of a dumpster...

I think she should have gotten more though for something so permanent-like. (You can have them removed.) She can grow bangs then to hide the scar.

Did anyone else notice the awful spelling and grammar throughout the entire auction? That mixed with the massive fonts and epilepsy inducing colors makes me believe this person is not all there...

Actually, the fact that she's getting a ad tattooed on her forehead make me believe she's not all there.

Isn't that precisely what makes this so very sad? Sorry to point out the obvious, but, she made $15K! (yeah, apparently they've "given" her another $5k) If that's enough to "live and survive" she'll have be very "creative" indeed.

This gambling website have taken advantage of someone who is incredibly naive - it's pitiful, as are your attempts at "thinking outside the box". Sorry, but $15K??? It should've been more like $15 Million.

Definitely not, I don't believe in gambling. Seems like a very silly thing. This auction reminds me of the pregnant lady that was willing to have a tattoo on her belly, just hope that it wasn't gambling.

noooooo, you cannot be serious!

Maybe she's going to have an all over body tatoo and hasn't told anyone yet.

$10,000, that's nothing, for having that done to you - does she really think its going to pay for her kids ed

oh dear

Tattoo artist Don Brouse said he and his staff spent nearly seven hours Wednesday trying to talk Smith out of putting "GoldenPalace.com" above her face. When he did go through with it, he kept the inch-tall letters close to her hairline, where bangs or a hat could provide some cover.
Gah, what a cop-out on the part of the artist! I, as would many (maybe most?) tattoo artists, would have outright refused to do it.

Note that this isn't the first goldenpalace.com facial tattoo. See http://www.zentastic.com/entries/200503142354.html

They should have tattood it in mirror view, so she can read it in the mornings when looking in the mirror

Why would anyone do that to themselves? Maybe she really needed the money? Stil...

Don't worry, in a year or two she'll be picking up checks from the daytime talk shows as she whines about the biggest mistake of her life. Oprah will enlist the free services of a laser surgeon for her to eradicate the tattoo, or at the very least change it into something else, such as "Oprah.com".

bluesky, you're probably right.

But, she's an ass, plain and simple.

EVER HEAR OF "A JOB," LADY?

GET A JOB?

What a concept!

I've had hard times and I've worked three jobs at once to raise money to get by. I was a single mother once, also, and I just worked harder.

$10,000 is NOT a lot of money these days. Not enough to ruin your face over.

What a loser.

Besides, did she ever stop to think how her SON will feel looking at that every day?

That his mother is a freak?

And that she made herself a freak supposedly for him? What kind of guilt must that little kid possibly feel?

What a loser she is.

I just asked my 4 and 1/2 year old what he thinks of her face and he said, "Not good!" I said, "I'm thinking of doing that to MY face...what do you think?" He said, "No, mom! You can't go outside then!"

Even my 4-year old would be ashamed.

What a dumb broad. Who hasn't blown $10,000 in a matter of weeks before ? $10,000 is nothing, and it won't last long.

She will have to walk around with that silly tatoo on her forehead for the rest of her life.
She already looks dumb, but can you imagine how pathetic she will look when she's older and the wrinkles start to set in ?

There are no laws against stupidity, and people are allowed to be asses if they wish, so more power to these people ! They provide amusement for the rest of us.

You guys sure it wasn't like $10,000 per month? for life?

Now I'd do that...

Of course all they'd have to do to get out of it was have me knocked off...

Make that for 50 years, inheritable by my heirs.

PUN IN ROUTE:

I'm willing to bet it's a fake tatoo. It has to be. I can't imagine someone that freaking stupid.

No, I don't use IRC. I have AIM but don't use it.

As far as the woman, she's a loser.

GoldenPalace.com should give her a job because who will hire her after this? Seriously? What company wants someone like that working for them?

This is stupid... unless you figured out that tatoo removal would cost only 5 grand or something. Either way ten grand is not worth looking like more of an idiot for the rest of your life.

I wouldn't do it for any amount of money, as friendship and happiness are far more important, both of which I'd be lacking in after getting such a tattoo.

This reminds me of an incident a few months ago, when a kid at Berkeley told me that he was looking for people with which to start a business, and asked if I was interested. I didn't see why not, and he said that he wanted to show me a DVD. I found that a little strange, but went through with it. It turns out that he wasn't starting a business: He was trying to sell me on Pre-Paid Legal Services, saying that it was about to hit a surge in growth, and it is currently where health insurance was years ago. He said that only about 2% of people in the US have legal insurance, whereas most of Europe has it. It seemed very interesting, and I decided to attend their "briefing" the next week. Of course, it wasn't much of a briefing: It was four of them, and four people like myself. They described the business model, which is essentially a legal pyramid scheme. Of course, it is legal, and I figured I could make a lot of money. I said that I'd consult my parents, despite the fact that I was a little uncomfortable with the idea of selling this to my friends and such. The guy wasn't too comfortable with my consulting the folks, and told me that my parents wouldn't agree. In the past, they've always been right about correcting my childish views of the world, as they understand more about how the world works. They usually give me good advice, but in this case I figured that they'd see this as a scam, and decided that I finally knew more than them. I didn't. My mom knew that it wasn't a scam, and told me that she had a similar experience years ago. She then explained to me that although I would indeed make the money, I'd be alienated from current and future friends. After all, who wants to be friends with someone who only wants to sell them something for purely selfish reasons? I thought about the guy who told me about it in the first place, and realized how disgusted I was with him: He went through all of this with me, just to make a few bucks for himself.

My point is that there are always ways to make more money than you might otherwise make, but if these ways will alienate you from friends, or otherwise affect your happiness, it's always a bad idea.
"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." -Archimedes
