yea its not the "biggest freshwater fish ever found" like the guy in that article thinks. Off the top of my head A sturgeon was caught in the snake river that was over a 900 kg. And that was no record. Maybe it doesn't count though since sturgeon can be ocean run.

According to the article in my local newspaper the guys who caught it wanted to save it and sell it to scientists who are trying to repopulate the species, which has seen an 80% drop in the last 13 years. Unfortunately it died before they could get it to anyone.

Too bad. Though it does look good.

i think that only works with toast...i guess they could plant a virgin mary toast in its mouth and say it was there when they caught it?
