In the case of my dogs I talk to them and praise them. They like to be petted. An occasional kiss also.

Whoa...I thought I was the only one in the universe that did that.  Any other teeth-clenchers out there?
Cuteness is my weakness, be it a woman or a kitten. I remember the teeth-clenching from my childhood with my teddy bears, now it applies to animals...with women I just do other stuff.

I get a grin and get all *mooshy* inside like a little girl. Sometimes I laugh.
My daughter knows exactly what to do to get both responses out of me. She will have me wrapped around her finger when she's older.
