In a country where African Americans are still so oppresed why does mainstream America love eveything about them? From a marketing standpoint at least.

If your the head of a company and all else fails, write a hip-hop style jingle and wear baggy clothes....repeat if needed. Thus continues the sterotype that all Blacks talk ghetto and drive cars with big spinning rims.

I find it appalling that MdDonalds is so blatently targeting blacks... its like "hey, gee them white folk are catching on and trying to be healthy! I know! Let's shift our market demographic to people more uneducated and poor in an attempt to get them fat instead!"

>sigh<

More wisdom from a company that is paying rappers to put the words "Big Mac" in their songs for a cash deal everytime their song is played on the radio.

McDonald's wasn't the first with the afro-centric marketing. My nephew a few years ago used to think only black people ate at Burger King because of their ads.

I wish. As long as the staff also looks like that.

With that body? Yes, please.

Oh, forgot to add: I'm loving the way McDonald's is evolving over here. Four or five different kinds of salad, more healthy (okay, less grossly unhealthy) burgers, and when you buy a Happy Meal now, you can choose between French Fries and raw baby carrots on the side, as well as having milk as a beverage option (which they had all along).

I still won't eat there more than a couple of times a year, but they're definitely going in the right direction of more healthy junk-food and less all-fat-no-nutrition-crappy junk-food.

Here's an idea: How about they sell sandwiches? Whole grain bread, decent meat, fresh lettuce, and nice cheese. All purchased locally if possible. Just a regular sandwich. 99 Cents. They could do it. And I'd go there.

2) no image, and up to four lines of text.

He has 5 lines.

Not that *I* care. But he was busting another person for having 5 lines of text.

Hmm.. this may be way some thought another person's sig was too big, while the other claimed it wasn't earlier this year.

Weird.

that's a good idea, but would mc donalds go and put their spin on it and make it über gross.

i ate at mc donalds last week, the first time in about a year. i wanted to vomit. i wonder how many customers they rope in because they are open at 3:30 in the morning. never again.

Chances are McDonald's has focused group this new idea.

Hmm, thought it might break into 5 on a smaller resolution, just never got around to checking... Never mind, had been meaning to get rid of it for a while anyway.

And the thing that made doucy's sig too big was that there was an appr. 200x200 pixel image in it as well as the text. He took out the pic now

I eat at BK and Taco Bell regularly, Taco Bell is heading in the right direction; "just the food, thanks" and at least they don't ask if you want nachos with that. At BK I try to avoid the fanciness; 99c cheeseburger, medium fries, maybe a drink, and that's all.
